Thruster From 18.5

I think the photographer, I. Ramirez of Valkyrie Photography, must have caught me in the last minute or so of 18.5, but she did get me on camera! It was only 45 lbs, but combining that with increasing reps and jumping pull-ups, things certainly got ugly pretty quickly!

Snatch at 75 lbs

I still have a way to go on my speed and form, but I'm hitting that weight much more reliably now, which is good towards bringing my 1RM from a piddly 85 lbs to something a little less embarassing (100 lbs, perhaps?)  Please excuse the rather poor music - one of the coaches who was busy with her group has rather questionable taste in music on a good day.

I Survived CrossFit Open 18.5!

There were no code browns, yellows, or greens during the 7 minutes of 18.5. For scaled female, it was 3 thrusters, 3 jumping pull-ups, 6 thrusters, 6 jumping pull-ups, etc until the time fully elapsed. All thrusters for scaled female were at 45 lbs, so it was a pretty manageable weight. I completed a total of 110 reps, with the jumping pull-ups being slower than the thrusters.

Cedar Key

Nothing like a little spring break day trip with the fuzzball to Cedar Key. It was mostly a culinary trip, but we also got to visit a clam breeding station and two historical museums.
