Hoggetowne 2015 Round 1

I had some firsts this weekend, including actually armoring up and taking a few hits for the team! All in all a great time so far!

Residual Pictures from Last Week

Forgot to post them but I got them from the Newberry JOAD group! I'm willing to bet there's more good photography somewhere but they will pop up as I find them.

Retreat

After the week from hell and dealing with icky things, someone (aka my best friend) convinced me that I desperately needed a quiet retreat away from all things stressful.  This was a little park out in Dunnellon / Rainbow Lakes Estate that he and I sometimes visit when we need a quiet retreat. There's also a nice little library for us to read, write, or study in, as well as escape from summer heat when it's open.  All in all it was a desperately needed break after being pushed past my breaking point the last few days. Sunset and calm waters and the right number of clouds always do wonders - exponentially more so when I also have my best friend at my side to remind me that there's another functional brain in my neck of the woods and that I have a fan as an archer, writer, and lifter when the other half gets disgusted at my training goals and the fact that I'd like to have less blubber and more muscle on me!

First Indoor of the Year

I shot my first official indoor event today. I finished the day with a 515/600, which is a personal best for me and I can honestly say I finally beat my longbow record finally! I was one of the oldest shooters there - think there might have been one shooter definitely older than me, possibly one other, but the other adult was definitely younger than me even if he didn't believe me!
