Murph 2020!

I completed Murph 2020 despite my Baker cyst giving me some issues.  In place of the 1 mile run, which is normally a trivial activity for me, was a 1600ish meter ski on the Ski-Erg (read: torture device). To handle the squats, one of my coaches had me substituting a kettlebell sumo deadlift to still give my legs something to do.  So here's what my Murph looked like, which I completed in 51:01, a bit fast for me:

1600 meter ski erg
20 rounds of {
  5 banded pull-ups
  10 strict push-ups
  15 KB sumo deadlift at 53 lbs
}

I was missing my fellow Hobbit, but we did recruit a youngster to fill in the gap...

Celts, Bach, and Barebow

I can't wait to return to my territory soon. In the meanwhile, I had some more tweaks to my shooting form, courtesy of mastermind T. Muntyan, which will hopefully address some of the erraticness in my shooting.

And then there's the piano work, although I do have to be extra cautious courtesy of my wrists. That being said, I have been getting some very helpful drills to help alleviate the issues going on.

Robots and A Rondo

First, my hands seem to have calmed down a bit, so I was able to get a bit of music practice in.

In other news, I built a couple of Hexbug replicas.

Barbells and Barebow: First Week of May Edition

I've been a little behind here, but here's a sampling of some of the fun I've been having despite a left knee that doesn't want to behave that well.  That being said, we did have some work-arounds.

All my snatches are hang power variations because I can't quite get into a solid from the floor position yet, and I'm not quite ready to do full squats.

And then there's the clean and jerk development, again, as hang power variations, although split jerk is largely unaffected.

And then there was the barebow recurve practice. It feels great to be shooting standing up with Anduril again!
