Halloween Indoors 1/n

 It was a pretty last minute decision, but I chose to shoot in the Halloween costume shoot at Easton Newberry today. I took Anduril with me despite being dressed up as an elven ranger, and I seeded first and finished first in individual eliminations while taking second in team eliminations.

I have quite the team to help me on my journey to being an even better archer, particularly my coach T. Muntyan, partners in strength T. Harris and T. Dreaver, and mental mentors D. Marrero and A. Johnson for helping me utilize my brain even more fully so I can stay calm and focused even under some challenging circumstances... along with two behind the scenes folks who will remain anonymous for knocking sense back into my head to return me to archery. 

Iron Legion Strength Seminar Plus Archery Fun

 I enrolled in the Iron Legion Strength Seminar at the urging of the fearless Viking to enhance my mental game and training pre-hab, although he knows I am already in excellent hands with my coaches and mentors.  It never hurts to gain additional insights and wisdom because drawing knowledge from only one source becomes stale and rigid.

I ended up not only cleaning up my deadlift and squat form even further, but also getting a taste of strongman, which is bizarre.  I have a clip of where I explored the axle, a  barbell so thick that I can't even begin to put my hands around it.  Suffice to say, the technique in strongman goes against ALL I have learned as an Olympic weightlifter...

There may be more clips and photographs coming from either T. Dreaver or I. Ramirez, but this was my favourite of the strongman torture devices.

And then, of course, there was quality time with Anduril, Flame of the West, as I built up my 70 meters again after a small adjustment to my clicker and brace height.

Barbell, A Day Late...

 I was in no shape to lift last night, so I lifted this morning, although I wasn't feeling too much better.  

And of course, there's almost always archery and/or a nature walk on the horizon as well. 

Short Day With Xibalba

 I got stuck with excessive desk duty and got pretty desperate to ensure I got all 12,000 minimum steps for the day, so I brought out Xibalba and shot the 3D range once I calibrated.

Day 2 of the State FITA Round

 Before I start on my official day 2 materials, this got sent to me from a couple weeks ago at the Super Total X3:

And now, on to the actual FITA round, which was 50 and 30 meters today with ends of 3 each on the 80 cm target. This clip was the final end at 30 meters, and my camera person (W. Hammac) had a little bit of fun with my phone!
