Manatees are a real treat on the Silver River because it's so far inland, and from what I understand of manatees, they typically prefer more brackish waters. The Silver River flows into the Ocklawaha River, which flows into the St. Johns River, which then empties into the Atlantic Ocean. There's some debate about why manatees would be found so far inland given the existence of a dam with locks and the distance from more typical manatee habitat.
The (mis)adventures and thoughts of an aspiring master archer, lifter, and fantasy author who happens to be irresistibly drawn towards wolves, raptors, and parrots. They may say there's no such thing as Paradise or Perfection, yet I'm still searching for them. Why do I keep searching? A voice speaks to me and says: "Search for Paradise and aspire for Perfection"...

Silver River Field Trip 1/n
Most of the pictures involve kids, so I'm omitting them, but the ones without any distinct humans involved, here they are. Silver River is a beautiful park, but unfortunately, I got stuck on the social studies trip. The most exciting parts of the social studies trip were the outhouse, the chamber pot, and the cow patty / pine needle mixture used to repel insects. The natural history was much more exciting, as were the more medieval / Renaissance weapons, but most of the social studies was about as appealing as oatmeal.

Battlebots Memorabilia: Bale Spear
Killer Parakeet is super happy! E. Pancoast of Forge & Farm Combat Robots, builder of Bale Spear, sent me a pair of free stickers!
There was very little of Bale Spear on TV, but this was a bonus rumble with Bale Spear vs Predator vs Valkyrie.
